Troop 799 is a strong, mid-sized, boy-led Troop with experience dating back to 1967, and international connections serving youth in the Tigard area. We have 45 registered scouts, and 10 active Assistant Scoutmasters. We are thankful for our Chartering Organization Tigard's Calvin Presbyterian Church for providing our organization with the use of facilities most troops dream about.

95 of our scouts have achieved the highest rank of Eagle Scout.

We are an active Troop with a wide range of activities, such as camping, hiking, biking, snow caving, snow shoeing, skiing, canoeing, white water rafting, to name a few.

Our troop differs from other Troops in the Wapiti district. In lieu of staying in the same patrol through your scouting adventure, we mix patrols of all ages.  New scouts are initially kept in patrols with 6-8 other new scouts. After 6 months, they are integrated in patrols with scouts of all ages.  Patrols are re-combined every 6 months. This offers ample opportunities for leadership and allows all scouts to learn to work together as a unit..
