I would like to once again welcome the new Scouts and parents to Troop 799.  This website is a great source of information.  As you look through the drop down menus you will notice items such as permission slips, packing lists, etc.  Pay special attention to the "Scouting Basics" page which covers a range of items from how the scouting program works to what food items you might want to bring on a backpack trip.

I have attached a copy of the Parent Handbook to this article.  This handbook can also be found in the "About Troop 799" section of the website.  Please take the time to read through this handbook.  It will answer most of the questions you may have about the Boy Scout process and Troop 799.

If you have any questions about the troop or about the whole scouting process be sure to ask one of the adult leaders at the weekly troop meetings.

Sincerely,

Dan Hampton
Assistant Scoutmaster

In addition to the PDF below, here is a LINK to a web version of the document.

Sir Robert Baden-Powell Quotes

“Be Prepared... the meaning of the motto is that a scout must prepare himself by previous thinking out and practicing how to act on any accident or emergency so that he is never taken by surprise.”
